After unpacking you should first charge the flight battery. Simply connect the copter to the Cheeron CX-10 and the enclosed USB charging cable and look for a USB charging socket (PC, laptop, …). The charging process varies depending on the power supplied by the socket. According to experience, it takes about 20 minutes until the LiPo is full again. This can be recognized by the fact that the LED in the USB connector has gone out. The Cheerson CX-10 is delivered loaded according to our experience and must be loaded the first time only briefly (few minutes).

For the 2.4 GHz radio transmitter you also need 2x AAA batteries.

If the flight battery is charged and the transmitter ready, then it can almost go up in the air ;-)
Calibration of the gyro sensor

Normally, the Cheerson CX-10 is delivered calibrated and flies very well after unpacking. However, it may happen that the gyro sensor is not properly calibrated due to external influences. This would mean that the copter does not fly exactly horizontally and drifts very low.

To be on the safe side, we will quickly carry out a calibration. Even after a heavy crash, it may happen that a recalibration is necessary. Usually the gyro problem is fixed afterwards.

This works as follows:

Put the copter on an absolutely straight surface and switch it on.
Turn on the transmitter, move the throttle once all the way up and then down again. You will hear a beep from the transmitter.
Attention: The copter is now bound to the transmitter and flies off when the throttle is released again!
Move the left stick to the lower left and the right stick to the upper left. Hold this position for about 5 seconds. The copter indicates by flashing that the calibration has been performed.

Now, the Cheerson should no longer – or only slightly – drift off.
First Flight

The battery is charged, fingers relaxed, pets and children safe? Then it can go:

Copter and transmitter can be switched on. The flashing LEDs on the copter say that it is not yet connected to the transmitter. To “arm” switch the throttle once up and move all the way down. The transmitter beeps and the LED’s on the copter now light up constantly. Now you can fly! Beginners should first try to make the copter jump and float a bit, keeping its position and altitude.

You should also know that the red LEDs on the copter are at the back and the blue LEDs are at the front.

The control in the so-called MODE 2 (the most common variant, this is the throttle lever on the left) works like this:

Left stick up / down: rise / fall
Left stick left / right: rotation around its own axis
Right stick up / down: forward / backward
Right stick left / right: sideways to left or right

Do not panic, the copter puts a lot of mishaps away ;-) One should, however, turn off the engines IMMEDIATELY in a crash (ie the throttle stick down), so that they take no damage when they are blocked.
Restrict drifting

If the copter drifts slightly in a certain direction, this can be largely solved with the small arrow keys on the transmitter: simply press the arrow with the opposite direction a few times until the side drift is balanced.
Change copter flight mode – set agile

The Cheerson CX-10 has three flight modes that determine how the copter reacts to the rashes of the sticks in flight. While the first mode is kept very simple, the small copter is already very fast in the third mode. The mode is changed by pressing the gas stick and always starts in the first mode. The transmitter announces by the number of beepers, in which difficulty level it is.
